The Sequoia studio

Under the mammoth sequoia lies a beautiful studio. It is its very own secluded spot in Cortils under this monumental tree that reaches higher than the castle with its seven storeys. If you are staying at the Sequoia, the impressive tree is always present. The accommodation is, as it were, absorbed by it; the roots go under it, the branches over it.

It is an intimate residence flanked by 2 terraces, one with table and chairs, the other with 2 sun loungers.

The studio has a cosy wooden kitchen with double sink, a two-burner cooker, a fridge-freezer and an oven.

Above the kitchenette is a 160-wide bed.

In terms of furnishings and equipment, this accommodation is also equipped for 4 people so you can always accommodate 2 guests.

There is a pellet stove for heating.

Games and books are available but there is deliberately no TV. Internet, yes.

The bathroom with toilet, shower and basin is 12 steps away, housed in a vault of the castle. Bathrobes and slippers are provided. Next to this bathroom is another covered terrace behind 2 Romanesque columns that carry part of the castle. A 4-metre-long Moroccan bench has been created here. Sleeping outside in warm weather is therefore a possibility.

Spending a few days here in complete silence means a few days completely absorbed by nature and completely at peace. An occasional walk around the pond with its little waterfalls, the birds and ducks, the rustling of the trees and the bleating of the sheep in the distance.
